ENGLISH

In Ruila, World Cup Qualifiers in show jumping and dressage will be held in August

World Cup qualifiers of the Central European League, highly awaited by equestrian athletes and fans, will be held in Ruila Riding Center from August 14 to 16 this year.

Due to the cancellation of Tallinn International Horse Show 2020 and World Cup qualifiers of the neighbouring countries, the riders in Estonia and surrounding countries lack competing opportunities this year. So the Estonian Equestrian Federation decided to organize a high-level outdoor event to add a little spice to the shortened competing season.

„Due to the state of emergency, many shows in the national and international calendar were cancelled. Our top athletes have difficulties finding shows of required level and we wanted to bring a quality event home to them,” said Riina Pill, the Secretary General of the Estonian Equestrian Federation. „Everybody was sad when we announced the postponement of Tallinn International Horse Show. News about World Cup qualifier in Ruila were received with great joy and excitement. We are feeling supported by the athletes and this motivates us to organize a quality event,” Pill added.

Ruila has hosted both World Cup and Nations’ Cup qualifiers and it’s one of the best and most beautiful venues in Estonia. Top equestrians of Estonia and neighbouring countries are expected to participate. All in all, 60 athletes on 160 horses will compete in show jumping and dressage. The Tallin Horse Show team will also lend a hand in organizing the event.

The event is free for spectators.
